If you have two weapons both with a socket where you can put two 100% critical hit damage gems, your DPS will enlarge enormously as you can think. It is kind of aggressive play style.
1-Hand Weapon + Shield: Take a careful examination of the top 10 Paragon Level Barbarian and you will find that a large proportion Barbarians are playing with shield. Let me explain it like this. If you are with DPS unbuffed at 80K, you can kill the normal monsters with just one kick. At the same time if you are with DPS unbuffed at 50K, you call also kill the normal monsters with just one kick, but the survive ability is enhanced a lot with the shield. The efficiency is the same, but the survivability increase a lot. Which one would you choose? This is especially important if you choose Monster Power higher than level 7. This is a defensive play style.
2-Hand Weapon: With the gorgeous weapon Skorn, you can barely resist the lure of this kind of high life steal weapons. High DPS and high life steal are the two main stats of the Barbarian weapon which are all in just one piece. It is ideal weapon. But the price is a little expensive if you want to buy really good one. Even the normal standard is around 100 million Diablo 3 Gold.
