Diablo 3 Expansion Reaper of Souls would add brand new play style Adventure Mode. This is a dramatic different style from the D3 we are playing currently. You do not have to finish Act I in order to get Act IV. You can travel around freely. You can finish Fields of Misery and then directly to Act II Oasis. And you can choose Bounties which is easy and rewarding. You would get abundant XP bonus, Diablo 3 Gold and Blood Shards which are the currency in the Gambling system. Adventure mode would be the new place for you to get fast power level, items farming and treasure hunting. It is the favorite place in the Reaper of Souls Friends and Family Beta as well.
Adventure Mode Summary
You can start Adventure Mode from the beginning. For those who buy this game first time, you should unlock the Campaign mode first. Dynamic Monster difficulty has been introduced. The monster difficulty would math your level correspondingly. It is an option for you to fight from level 60 to level 70 all in the Adventure mode.
There are many differences between Adventure Mode and Campaign mode. There is no check point, no cut scenes in the Adventure mode. Besides, Bounties, you can enjoy Nephalem Rifts and Gambling as well. Open M map key, you can travel as you wish.
Bounties
Bounties is the most part of Adventure Mode. It may be killing Boss, slay Uniques, clear the Dungeon or complete certain Quest. There would be a exclamation mark beside the point which means the Bounty Task is available. This kind of task is easy and you can complete it less than five minutes.
Every Act has five Bounties. You can continue on this act or travel to other Acts to finish other Bounties. You would be rewarded with a Horadric Cache when you finish Bounties. Previously, you would get Horadric Cache after every Bounty. You can get D3 Gold, Crafting material, Magic and Rare Items, Gems, Bloody Shards and Legendaries. As you can see from below, you can get even Marquise Emerald, Rift Keystone and Legendary Items in the Cache.
Nephalem Rifts
It is another great part of Adventure mode. Random map and environment, Random Boss combination for you to challenge. But you need Rift Keystone to open Nephalem Rifts. You can get the keystone from Horaderic Cache or from the monster drop. Back to town, and touch the Nephalem Towel to activate the Rifts. After you have finish this Rift, you would get a greater Horadric Cache as well. As the dungeon level, monster combination and density are all random. The Guardian maybe at the end of the dungeon waiting for you.
Bloody Shards and Gambling
Bloody Shards is the new currency introduced in ROS especially for the Gambling system. It can obtained from the Horadric Cache and Bounties complete. 100 shards can trade a greater Horadric Cache. 5 Bloody Shards can trade an Items in the Gambling.
Gambling Businessman only appear in the Adventure mode. The items they trade are with random stats and quality. If you are lucky enough, you can even get Legendary Items and Set Items. It works like Diablo 2 Gambling.
